I AM J YUEQIAO MA
J Yueqiao Ma is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in NYC.
After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion at Parsons School of Design, J decided to continue their journey in experimental art at the School of Visual Arts pursuing a Masters degree in Computer Arts.
Born and raised in Beijing, China, and coming to the US at an early age, J’s world view has been frequently challenged and is always changing. With a similar focus on culture, community and self/identity, they are currently exploring alternative ways to express themselves to the world. J is discovering innovative and fun ways to “body hack” with a touch of playfulness by using AR technology, projection mapping and sculpture making skills.
J is a maximalist who believes even too much is not enough- same with learning new skills.
